Trading Range:

Nifty opened gap up at 12132 on Thursday and made a high and low of 12159 and 12100 respectively before closing positive at 12151.

Review/Outlook:

For the day, support for Nifty exists at 12100 and 12020 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 12210 and 12300 levels.

Bank Nifty opened gap up at 31982, made a high of 32157, low of 31906, and closed positive at 32123. For the day, support for Bank Nifty exists at 31900 and 31700 levels whereas resistance for Bank Nifty stands at 32300 and 32500 levels.

Tata Steel Europe has begun consultations with the European Works Council (EWC) on restructuring plans for its business, which would include up to 3,000 job losses - 1,000 of which will be in the UK. (BL).

Driven by sluggish economic growth and slowing earnings, credit conditions will weaken for most Indian non-financial companies in 2020, Moody’s Investors Service said on Thursday. (BL).
Large companies are cutting down wage cost while start-ups want to hire executives only for a short period. Now, there is a solution for both. Flexi or temporary staffing is fast catching up in India with retail, logistics, FMCG and start-ups with the IT industry taking the lead. (ET).
Raw coal production in the country has increased from 567.77 million tons (MT) in 2013-14 to 730.35 MT in 2018-19, Union Coal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said in Lok Sabha. He said that India had to import 234 MT coal last year for which it lost Rs 1.7 lakh crore foreign exchange. (BL).
The highways ministry is likely to award road projects with an aggregate length of around 4,500 km worth Rs 50,000 crores, Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari informed the Parliament on Thursday. (ET).

US markets were shut on Thursday for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, and Friday will see a shortened day of trade.

FTSE 100

UK markets finished in the red on Thursday, amid renewed concerns about trade relations between the US and China, while ex-dividends were a drag. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,416, down 13.35 points by 0.18%.
